Congratulations!
Holy Family Catholic School in Austin, Texas participated in the 2021-2022 voting in March and was the winner of the drawing. They received books from the 2022-2023 list to start off the new school year.
We are giving away books to any school in the US or Canada that wants to participate in the 2023-2024 school year. Register now! Drawing will take place on Friday, July 29th 4pm CST.

Late March: Students vote for favorite book
April 1: Voting ballots due. Schools are welcome to vote locally after this date, but will not be counted in the International voting contest.
April/May: Celebrate students’ participation in The Lectio Book Award Reading Program
April/May: Upcoming school year’s list announced
School Celebrations:
Each school is welcome to determine their own levels of promotion and celebration as appropriate for their school community. Some choose to offer participation rewards, while others simply offer the list as suggested list of “good books.” Participants are expected to act accordingly for their respective organization.
Suggested Reward Level:
5 books – Voting for favorite book
10 books – Certificate + voting
15 books – Party, certificate, + voting
20 books – Medal, party, certificate, + voting

The yearly Lectio Book Award Nominee List is a list of suggested reading titles for grades 4th-8th and level of participation is determined by each individual entity. Not all books are for all readers and participants are expected to act accordingly for their respective organization. The only requirement we have is that in order to vote, the entity is registered and the voting student must have read 5 books from the current list.
